Year 6/7 Admissions Process
The admissions process for school place applications for September 2027 is now underway. The online portal for secondary school applications opened on 14 September 2026. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2026, and National Offer Day is 1 March 2027.
Further information, including how to apply for a secondary school place, can be found on the Somerset Council website: Applying for school (somerset.gov.uk). Parents and carers are strongly advised to read the admissions information carefully before submitting an application.
We encourage families to submit their applications before the deadline to ensure they are considered as part of the normal admissions round.

If you live outside our catchment area, we advise you to visit the Blackdown Education Partnership website, to discuss the possibility of an in-year admission for your son/daughter at one of the other schools in our trust.

We currently employ the services of Somerset Council to process appeals and hold independent Appeals Panels on our behalf. For details about the appeals procedure please contact Somerset Council’s Admissions Team.
